Another link
to Bury’s proud brewing past has gone with the conversion of the Seven Stars, on
Rochdale Road, to Automoney. Originally a tied house of the nearby Crown Brewery (the photo
is from 1952), the pub has gone through many guises over the years. Each
seemingly bringing a further decline in fortunes. Its last closure turned out
to its final hurrah and leaves but two pubs on Rochdale Road.

Pity. It looked like a decent little pub at one time. I may have been in there years ago.
